Program Description

This one day seminar is designed to offer current information and important knowledge and skills for people who help expectant and new mothers.  Ethics are an important for every working professional. This course will help clarify important ethical ramifications with regard to lactation.  We will discuss procedures for using materials of intellectual property that are protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks and patents.  You will learn what conflicts of interest are and how to avoid them.  We will explore how ethics differ in different fields including IBCLCs, Peer Counselors, Nurses and Volunteers.  We will bring it all together with an interactive discussion to help you bring it back to your workplace.
